DESCRIPTION:We just can’t sit September out! Come see us at The Market at
  Gibsonville - currently held at the Gibsonville Community Center - every 
 Saturday  September 5 - Ocotber 3.\nThis is a big month for libraries\, a
 nd we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Library staff will be handing ou
 t free books and more on Saturdays from 8 AM - noon all month long. Learn

 ept 5th): Library Card Sign-Up!\nSeptember is Library Card Sign Up Month!\
 nYou can sign up for a library card online at giblib.org/card\, in person 
 at the library\, or at one of our Market Day events. If you want to get a 
 physical card\, you will need to bring a photo ID and proof of your curren
 t address if the information on your ID is not up to date. A piece of mail
  or an official document like a utility bill\, vehicle registration or a l
 ease agreement can be used to prove your current address. Digital-only car

 e Yourself Count with the 2020 Census!\n2020 Census ends September 30\nWha
 t matters to you – Schools? Transportation? Hospitals? Data from the Cen
 sus brings federal tax dollars to our community – that’s $1\,623 per p
 erson\, per year in North Carolina according to a George Washington Univer
 sity report. Data from the Census also helps inform planning efforts for a

 ber 15\nEach year\, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month fro
 m September 15 to October 15\, by celebrating the histories\, cultures and
  contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain\, Mexi
 co\, the Caribbean and Central and South America. We look forward to celeb

 ve!\nVoter Registration Day is September 22\nVoter registration is more im
 portant than ever as states shift policies to respond to COVID-19. At the 
 same time\, social distancing prevents many voters from getting registered
  in their communities\, at DMVs\, and more. Figure out how to get #VoteRea
 dy in NC\, including the possibility to register online! If you are a DMV 
 customer with a N.C. driver’s license or DMV-issued ID\, you may now reg
 ister to vote or change certain parts of your registration online for free

 s Week!\nBanned Books Week starts September 27\nBanned Books Week is an an
 nual event celebrating the freedom to read. Typically held during the last
  week of September\, it spotlights current and historical attempts to cens
 or books in libraries and schools. It brings together the entire book comm
 unity — librarians\, booksellers\, publishers\, journalists\, teachers\,
  and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and
  to express ideas\, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular. Lear
