Come celebrate the Holidays…socially distanced!
Join us for an “open-air open-house” from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, December 5th at the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum.  Families are invited to walk the newly installed Story Trail across the historic campus of Palmer Memorial Institute to read the classic children’s book “The Snowy Day.” Library staff will be on hand with free take-home holiday craft kits as well as free children’s books while supplies last.

15-minute family photo sessions and visits with Santa are also available for $10 per family (up to 6 people, $2 each additional).  Visits with Santa will take place inside Canary Cottage and photos will take place outdoors on the decorated porch – preregistration and pre-payment for Santa sessions are required. To register and pay, call the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum at 336-449-3310.

Visitors are expected to follow the “Three W’s” as outlined by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services – WEAR a cloth mask over your nose and mouth, WAIT in line at least six feet away from others, and WASH your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer. If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, we ask that you postpone your visit.
