Celebrate Día de los Niños at the library — April 30 from 3-7 PM
On Tuesday, April 30, 2019 the Gibsonville Public Library will join libraries from across the country in celebrating Día. Día is a multicultural celebration of children, families, and reading, and emphasizes the importance of advocating literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Inspired by the Mexican día de los niños celebrations, Día celebrations have encouraged the celebration of children and books for more than 20 years. Drop by anytime between 3-7 PM on April 30th to enjoy crafts, games traditionally played during the Mexican celebration of Día de los niños, snacks, and bilingual stories. All families are invited to join us in celebrating our children, cultures, and books!
The library is hosting a series of programs in celebration of Mental Health Month. Join us each week for a different activity and community partnership. Learn more about Mental Health Month at mentalhealthamerica.net and nami.org
