News & Announcements:
** The Library will be closed Thursday Nov. 23 through Saturday Nov. 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday **
Food For Fines | October 16 – December 22
Our local food pantries need our help during the holiday season. Bring in a can or dry good to donate and we’ll waive up to $3 in late fees. Donate 3 or more cans or boxes to “clean your plate” and get all late fees waived, no limits.
Fine forgiveness is applied per card, not per family — so if the kids have late fees on their cards, they’ll need to bring their own food donations to cover them.
Food drive items cannot be applied toward fees for lost or damaged library materials.
What’s Coming Up:
Games Day & Escape Room | Saturday, November 11, 12-3 PM
Drop by the library between 12 and 3pm to participate in an afternoon of board games, video games, and an escape room activity!
All ages welcome.
After-School Activities | Thursdays, 4:00 – 4:30 PM — Join us for some after-school STEAM fun! In November we’ll have fun with food all month long – engineering snack towers, making our own candy and butter, and creating vegetable art! Intended for elementary/middle school students.
Homeschool Activities | Third Friday each month, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM — Homeschool families are invited to join us every third Friday at 10:00 AM for STEAM activities and the chance to meet other area homeschoolers.
Toddler Story time | Wednesdays at 10:00 AM – Kids 3 and under and their caregivers are invited to come enjoy stories, fingerplays, and songs.
Pre-K Story time | Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 11:00 AM – These story times, geared for 4-5 year olds, features stories, crafts and activities.
Each month, we are going to shine a spotlight on one of our wonderful staff members to give our library community a chance to get to know a little bit more about them. In November, we are highlighting Ashley! You can stop by the library any time this month to see Ashley’s Staff Picks on display.
Our younger library patrons know Miss Ashley from the fun storytimes, afterschool activities, and special events she runs at the library — so it shouldn’t be a surprise to find books and movies for kids, teens and adults on her list of favorite titles.
