Friends, Giving: Donate to the Community Pantry
Things are tough right now. Help us make things a little bit easier for folks in our community by donating nonperishable food items, basic toiletries, and baby supplies to the library’s Community Pantry. We have created a list of the items we hope to stock for our neighbors who need them.
Reaching those in need
Help us spread the word about the Community Pantry – especially if you are aware of a family or individual in our community that might be struggling with job or income loss at this time. Our pantry is open to anyone who needs it, there is no registration or qualification needed. Organize a food or supply drive to benefit the pantry
NEW!! The pantry now has a Community Fridge!
A huge thank-you to the Gibsonville UMC for this amazing new addition. This side-by-side is a fridge and freezer to accommodate fresh and frozen donations as space allows.
We are adding perishables to the list of requested items for donation.
Materials Donations
The library accepts donations of gently used books for children, teens, and adults. While some donated items will be added to our circulating collection, the majority of donated materials are either sold by the Friends of the Library as a fundraiser, or used to stock our free book shelves in the library lobby, at the free book box at the garden railroad downtown, in our 24/7 “Free Finds” cabinet outside the library, and on our Book Bike stops throughout town.
