Friends, Giving: Donate to the Community Pantry
Things are tough right now. Help us make things a little bit easier for folks in our community by donating nonperishable food items, basic toiletries, and baby supplies to the library’s Community Pantry.  We have created a list of the items we hope to stock for our neighbors who need them. During the month of November 2020, you’ll receive a free Gibsonville Mural mug when you donate to the Community Pantry (while supplies last). Help us spread the word about our new Community Pantry – especially if you are aware of a family or individual in our community that might be struggling with job or income loss at this time.  Our pantry is open to anyone who needs it, there is no registration or qualification needed.

Mugvember with the Library – Throughout November (Adults & Families)
This month we’re getting cozy with some fun mug recipes!  Recipes will be posted every week in November on our social media (so follow the library on Facebook and Instagram!) and available in the library.
Get a free, limited-edition Gibsonville Mural mug to use when you donate to our Community Pantry.  We’d love to see your mug creations, so make sure to tag us @gibsonvillelibrary when you post pictures!

What is in my MOUTH?  — Monday, Nov 9 @ 7PM (Teens)
So…. nobody’s traveling the world right now. BUT we can learn about distant places and cultures through food and trivia from home! Take your tongue on a trip to a different country each month as we explore the world by asking: What is in my mouth???
The library will provide free snack foods from a different part of the world each month, and host a live, online tasting party on the second Monday of each month with facts about the featured country, trivia, and the chance for participants to rate their mystery snack.
Sign up to reserve your snack and get info about the next online tasting party. We’ll let you know when new snacks are available to pick up from the library each month. Snacks will be bagged so you won’t know what you got until it’s time to taste together. That means folks with food sensitivities will need to proceed with EXTREME CAUTION. Intended for middle and high school ages.
