NEW LIBRARY BUILDING ON THE AGENDA AT THE SEPTEMBER 15TH GIBSONVILLE BOARD OF ALDERMAN MEETING
Have you wondered “What’s happening with the new library building?” That topic is on the agenda for the September 15, 2025 meeting of the Gibsonville Board of Aldermen at Town Hall, located at 129 W. Main Street. Library supporters are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 6:30pm.

SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH!! 
Your library card gives you access to so many cool things, but in September you can use it to shop! Several Gibsonville merchants are offering discounts and free stuff if you show your Gibsonville Public Library Card at the time of purchase! Keep an eye on the library’s social media pages to find out who is participating and what they are offering!

TUESDAY MORNING STORYTIME AT 10:00 AM
Children birth – age 5 and their caregivers are invited to visit the library for storytime every Tuesday of the month! Share songs, stories, and activities with Mr. Wes. Storytimes will be held in the library’s community room, so space is limited. No registration is required, walk-ins and first-time visitors are welcome.

HOMESCHOOL ACTIVITIES WEDNESDAYS AT 11:00 AM 
Homeschool activities are held every Wednesday at the library at 11:00 AM. If your family is interested in homeschooling and/or homeschooling resources, you can find information on the library website.

NEEDLEWORK SOCIAL THURSDAYS
September 4th & 18th 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Want to learn to knit or crochet? Enjoy some other form of needlework? Come join the Needlework Social to get advice and share ideas with others who enjoy it as much as you do! All types of needle art are welcome! Open to all ages and skill levels. Limited supplies are available for anyone who doesn’t have their own.

SATURDAY BOOK CLUB
September 6th 12:30 – 2:00 PM
Do you love to read and socialize? Then please consider joining our Book Club! The club meets the first Saturday of each month to discuss a different book. Our September read is Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. The October selection is Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Copies of the books are available at the library.

The Library and Town of Gibsonville offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025 for Labor Day. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday!

BOOK DONATIONS TEMPORARILY PAUSED 
The Library needs to temporarily pause book donations while we prepare to reorganize our limited space. We will make a similar announcement when we are ready to begin accepting book donations again. In the meantime, please continue to support the Community Pantry at the library with food donations.

We are proud to serve all residents of the Gibsonville community! Along with library resources, we also provide supplies for local residents in need. Please consider making a donation or organizing a food and supplies drive for our Community Pantry (and Fridge)! We need non-perishable food items, baby supplies and hygiene products.
