The library, along with all Town of Gibsonville facilities, is closed to the public until further notice.  But that doesn’t mean we can’t still help.  This month’s newsletter is all about the services and resources that are available to you even when the library’s doors are closed.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions – we’re still answering the phone (336-449-6455) from 9-3 Monday through Friday, and responding to emails at mail@giblib.org.  Take care of yourselves, your family, and your neighbors. We can’t wait to see you all again when we reopen.

Access all of the library’s online resources – not just ebooks (but lots of those, too!)
Your library card gives you access to an enormous selection of digital resources.  From audiobooks available on RBdigital to ebooks at NCKids, Hoopla, and much more.  Check out newspapers and magazines from all over the world on NClive – or use the online Auto Repair database to find repair diagrams and resources. NClive also gives you access to local history and genealogy resources, language learning programs, and a world of educational materialsTo access any of these, you’ll need your library card number (14-digit barcode on the back of your card) and your PIN/password – which is set to be the last 4 digits of your card number by default.

The library is now offering Books by Mail as a method of serving our community during our current closure.  Residents may place requests over the phone (336-449-6455) between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, by writing us at mail@giblib.org, or by reserving materials online with a library card at giblib.org/books.  A current, full-access library card in good standing is required to check-out library books. We also have a limited selection of materials available for Gibsonville residents without a library card.  These items do not need to be returned to the library.  Just contact us at the phone number or email listed above to place a request. The Books by Mail service will be available as staff and funds for shipping costs are available.  If you would like to help support this service, you can donate here.
