But, the easiest way to report your total minutes is online at giblib.org/summer

Book Drop Redesign Art Contest
Our outdoor bookdrop needs a new look – and we want you to help design it!
We are holding a contest during the month of August, 2020 to find its new style.
Designs should be fun and family-friendly, and involve only painting the exterior surfaces of the bookdrop, but other than that the sky is the limit. We can’t wait to see what you come up with, Gibsonville!
Contest form, guidelines, and printable templates available online at giblib.org/bookdrop

Grab & Go Activity Kits
Our first Grab & Go activity kits will be available in the library (or for curbside pickup) beginning Wednesday, July 29. These kits are themed to the following week’s story time, which will be held each Tuesday at 10 AM on Zoom, and intended for children birth-PreK.
The first kit contains a flower activity to complement the story time planned for Tuesday, August 4th.  See more at giblib.org/gokits
Stop by anytime to pick one up inside, or contact us to set up a curbside pickup time!

Reading Connections – All remote, all free adult literacy classes and more
Reading Connections is a nonprofit based in Guilford County that works to transform our community by improving literacy and promoting educational equity for people of all ages, empowering them to navigate changes in an increasingly complex world.
One in five people in Guilford County struggles with basic literacy skills. That means more than 80,000 adults in our community live without access to information to ensure health, financial stability, and security for themselves and their family. Not only does low literacy limit their potential, it limits the potential of their children for years to come.  Learn how you can volunteer from home as a virtual tutor, or share information about their free classes with someone you know at ReadingConnections.org.

Help Mask Gibsonville
Looking for a way to help our community? Do you have extra fabric and time to donate?
With a new statewide mask requirement, many people are struggling to find face coverings so that they can go to appointments and shop safely. Library staff are making masks to provide to community members who need them, and would be happy to accept mask donations for those in need, as well.
