Celebrate Spanish Language Day on April 23
“Día del Idioma”
Every year on April 23rd, Spanish Language Day celebrates the second most spoken language in the world. It is a day to honor authors, especially the most revered writer in the Spanish language, Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra.
This year at the Gibsonville Library, we are celebrating with a pop-up gallery display of spanish-language books, information about influential authors, and work from Thania Orellana whose paintings and stories bring a piece of her homeland, Honduras, to Gibsonville!
Gallery dates: April 23rd-30th
Educators: Call the library at 336-449-6455 to arrange a tour and story session with Miss Thania.
