Teen Craft Thursday   Feb 2  5:00 pm
Teens! Looking for something fun to do? Starting February 2nd, Gibsonville Public Library will be hosting a bi-monthly teen craft on the first Thursday of every other month. Following a Valentine’s day theme, the first craft will be XOXO Bracelets. Come make one for yourself or as a gift. Event will be held Thurs Feb 2 at 5:00pm. All materials provided. Teens 12 and up welcome.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover    Tuesday Feb 7   5:30 pm
Your favorite stuffed friends are invited to a stuffed animal sleepover! Join us for a special pajama storytime at 5:30 pm on Tuesday Feb 7 where you and your stuffed friend can snuggle up and listen to a story before we tuck them in for their stay at the library.  The next day you will receive photos, and see what book your stuffed friend wants you to check out and take home. Stuffed animal drop off Feb 7 before 5:30 pm.  Pick up Feb 8.

Junk Journaling       February  9, 16, & 23   6:00 pm
Do you like scrapbooking? Why not try it from scratch! Junk Journaling turns ordinary pieces of scrap paper and other junk into functional works of art. Learn how in the 3 part workshop held at the Gibsonville Public Library. Each session will be held on a Thursday from 5:30-6:30. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Silent Book Club     Tuesday Feb 14  5:30 – 7pm
What is a silent book club? It’s a very simple idea – Silent Book Club is about taking time out of your busy schedule to simply relax and read whatever you want to read, and you get to talk to other people about books (if you want to, or you can just keep reading). Este seminario es para personas interesadas en aprender las destrezas básicas de cómo utilizar la aplicación de videoconferencias Zoom, desde como crear una cuenta hasta cómo programar una reunión. El seminario es completamente libre de costos y se ofrecerá en Español.

Tuesday Morning Storytimes, 10:00 AM
Children birth – age 5 are invited (along with their caregivers) to visit the library for story time! Share songs, stories, and activities with Miss Ashley. Storytimes will be held in the library’s community room, so space is limited. No registration is required for Tuesday morning storytimes – walk-ins and first-time visitors are welcome.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities are designed for ages 6-12, and will usually take place in the library’s community room on Tuesdays at 4 PM.  No registration is required – walk-ins and first-time visitors are welcome.

Knitting/Crochet Club
Like to knit or crochet? Want to learn? Come join the Knitting/Crochet club to get advice and share ideas with others who love knitting/crochet as much as you do! Open to all ages and skill levels. Supplies are available for anyone who doesn’t have their own.  The Knitting Club will meet this month on Saturday, Feb 4 at 10am and Saturday, Feb 18 at 10am.


Anime Club     Saturday, Feb 4 at 12:00pm
Love anime?  Come hang out at the library on February 4th  to watch anime, have snacks, and discuss all things Japanese.  Gibsonville’s new Anime Club is for teens and young adults who love anime, cosplay, and learning about Japanese culture.  The club will meet on the first Saturday of every month at noon.
