Digital Literacy Workshops
The Gibsonville Public Library has been awarded a PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive Grant supported by AT&T. This grant will make it possible for the library to offer digital literacy workshops at which the attendees who complete the 2-hour sessions at the library will take home a free laptop. There will be a Spanish language workshop on Saturday October 7th 12:00-2:00, and an English language workshop on Saturday October 21st 12:30-2:30. To register, visit giblib.org/freepc.
Murder Mystery at the Library Saturday October 28 3:30-5:30 PM
You’re invited to an event of mystery and intrigue as we solve a murder at the library. Spots are limited so be sure to RSVP at giblib.org/events/murder-mystery before the event.
This event is intended for teens and adults.
Tuesday Morning Storytimes 10:00 AM
Children birth – age 5 are invited (along with their caregivers) to visit the library for story time! Share songs, stories, and activities with Miss Ashley. Storytimes will be held in the library’s community room, so space is limited. No registration is required for Tuesday morning storytimes – walk-ins and first-time visitors are welcome.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities are back, just a little different. Activities for children in Kindergarten – 2nd grade will be on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Activities for children in 3rd – 5th grade will be on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. If there is a fifth Tuesday in a month, we will have an all-ages activity. This month:

3-5 Tuesday October 10th and Tuesday October 24th at 4:00pm
Halloween Party for K-5 Tuesday October 31 at 4:00
Homeschool Activities Wednesdays at 11:00 AM

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
TAG plans to meet twice per month to discuss and plan programming, suggest materials to add to the library’s collection, plan service projects, and more! Check the library’s events calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Knitting/Crochet Club
Like to knit or crochet? Want to learn? Come join the Knitting/Crochet club to get advice and share ideas with others who love knitting/crochet as much as you do. Open to all ages and skill levels. Supplies are available for anyone who doesn’t have their own. The Knitting Club will meet this month on Saturday, October 14 at 10am and Saturday, October 28 at 10am.
Book Club Meeting Saturday October 7th at 12:30 pm
Did you know the library has a book club? We will be meeting the first Saturday of each month from 12:30-2:30. The next meeting will be Saturday October 7th.
