September 2018

News & Announcements:

*** The Library will be closed on Monday, September 3rd for Labor Day ***

Teen Advisory Group Info Session and Taco Bar
The library is looking for teens and tweens (ages 12-18) who want to contribute to the library and their community by being a part of our Teen Advisory Group. A Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a group who volunteers their time to help shape library services and events designed for teens.  It is a great way to meet new friends and get some community service done while having fun.

We are hosting an informal info session at the library from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 22 to meet anyone who is interested and eat some tacos.  That’s right, there will be a taco bar, so come hungry and full of great ideas!  Read more about TAG at

Grandparents Day Drop-in Craft |
Saturday, September 8
Granparents Day is Sunday, September 9th! Drop by the library anytime (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) to decorate a photo frame you can give to Grandma or Grandpa with your picture in it!

School-Age Activities

Afterschool S.T.E.A.M. Activities | Thursdays at 4:00 PM, starts Sept. 13
Join us for a fun STEAM (that’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) activity each Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM during the school year.  These activities are intended for elementary and middle school students. This month we’ll have fun and learn some cool science through some awesome (and carefully controlled) explosions.

Homeschool Activities | Every third Friday at 10:00 AM, starts Sept. 21
Homeschool families are invited to join us every third Friday at 10:00 AM for STEAM activities and the chance to meet other area homeschoolers. Activities will mirror afterschool themes each month.
